MEXEM and environmental protection

MEXEM established a wide programme of ecological actions. As part of this programme, the company built 3 photovoltaic power plants, generating electricity from solar radiation energy.

• Within the area of the company’s branch office in Kowalewice near Miastko, the power plant with a capacity of 40 kW was commissioned in 2015. Thanks to this power plant, the estimated reduction of CO2 into the atmosphere amounts to 23.6 T / per year.
  
• In 2017, a similar power plant with a capacity of 40 kW was commissioned within the area of the company’s base in Pruszków.
  
• Within the area of recreation-training centre in Budy Zaklasztorne, the photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 10 kW was commissioned in 2015.

In some months, the power plants completely satisfy the company’s demand for electricity. The company resells PGE S.A. the excess electricity.

As part of the environmental programme, the company undertakes other actions.
The company is continuously renewing the fleet of vehicles. The company has over 120 own trucks. More than 50% of the company’s vehicles has the most ecological emission class EURO 6. The remaining vehicles have the EURO 5 emission class. The company does not have vehicles of lower emission class.
