In 2025, our protégés from ZKS Miastko, UKS ‘Morena’ and MKS ‘Start’ Miastko broke the bank with their medal and promotion haul!
These sports clubs achieved significant success in 2025, winning numerous medals and promotions.
ZKS Miastko's achievements in wrestling
ZKS Miastko's wrestling team particularly distinguished itself on the national and international stage. Four competitors won medals at the Polish Championships and performed well at the European Championships:
- Tola Rudnik (14): Polish U15 Championship (in the weight category up to 39 kg) and U14 Championship (in the weight category up to 42 kg); 11th place at the U15 European Championship in Caorle;
- Kacper Bielewicz (13): Polish U15 Championship (in the weight category up to 38 kg); bronze medal at the U14 Championships (in the weight category up to 41 kg); 18th place at the European Championships;
- Leon Rudnik (17): Polish U17 Championship (in the weight category up to 55 kg) and 15^(th) place at the European Cadet Championships in Skopje;
- Leon Brodziński (13): silver medal at the U15 Championships (in the weight category up to 57 kg) and bronze medal at the U14 Championships (in the weight category up to 62 kg).
At the Polish U15 Championships in Warsaw, the team took second place out of 56 teams and first place in the provincial classification. Key contributions were made by: Kacper Bielewicz (first place in the up to 38 kg weight category) and Leon Brodziński (second place in the up to 57 kg weight category), as well as:
- Antoni Petrończak (5th place in the up to 52 kg category),
- Olgierd Kowalewski (5th place in the up to 68 kg category) and
- Piotr Rodak (5th place in the up to 75 kg category).
UKS Morena's successes in volleyball
Last season, the ‘Morena’ Sports Club trained 110 players across five age categories. The club's main achievements include:
- appointments to the provincial team for Zofia Piorun (including the regional team), Bianka Gocoł, Julia Nowicka and Kinga Teler;
- a bronze medal in the National Junior Tournament in Miastko;
- three teams in the provincial final of Kinder Joy of Moving;
- medals in mini-volleyball tournaments and the junior league.
Results of MKS ‘Start’ Miastko in football
The year 2025 marked not only sporting successes for the club, but also an increase in the community of club supporters, players and coaching staff: a new group of preschoolers under the supervision of coaches Krzysztof Bryndal and Joanna Popik joined the group of players. The club's most important successes:
- Junior C1 (2011-12): promotion to the Provincial League, West group, regular tests at Arka Gdynia;
- Junior D2 (2014-16): 1st place in the league (15 teams), play-offs for the Provincial League, consultations with the Pomeranian Football Association;
- Seniors: autumn championship of the Słupsk District League (6-point lead), promotion to the 4th Pomeranian League;
- 2014: qualification and participation in the W. Łazarek Tournament in Gdańsk.
As a sponsor, we are delighted with these achievements, which are the result of the hard work of the players and coaches. These clubs promote the key values of sport: the joy of playing, passion, cooperation, physical fitness and fair play, supporting the development of young talent. As Vice-President Adam Molak emphasises: ‘We derive great satisfaction from contributing to the development of young people in our small town community; our support for sports clubs is a form of “local patriotism”.’
It is worth noting that MEXEM has been sponsoring ZKS Miastko and MKS ‘Start’ Miastko for about 10 years, and UKS “Morena” for much longer – almost 20 years. What's more, MEXEM employs two ‘Morena’ players who have been with the club since the very beginning – that's our little tidbit!
