Environmental protection and Code of Conduct
At MEXEM, environmental protection is a core principle that is deeply entrenched in our company values. In their day-to-day activities, our employees prioritise the minimisation of environmental degradation, recognising the interconnected nature of our environment and the responsibility we all share in its preservation.
Our environmental priority is to establish an organisation that is uniquely attuned to the environmental aspects of conducting business in every sector. To this end, we are committed to the continuous enhancement of environmental standards across all areas of our business, including our core operations, administrative functions and organisational management.
In terms of core business, we prioritise three lines of action:
efficient use of resources;
investment in ecology;
raising the environmental awareness of MEXEM employees and contractors.
Within the framework of the above directions, we are undertaking the following activities:
setting limits and controlling fuel consumption and emissions;
usage of top-quality, expertly recycled, recyclable or biodegradable products;
segregation of waste, cooperation with a professional disposal company;
purchase of vehicles that meet the most stringent environmental standards;
controlling and informing subcontractors of the need to meet environmental standards;
environmental training for employees;
using modern techniques and knowledge of logistics to design the most eco-efficient solutions.
In the administrative division, we have taken the following directions:
- resource management;
- creating procedures.
We have taken measures such as:
optimising the use of resources (light, water and paper);
use of energy-efficient appliances;
developing procedures to encourage resource savings.
At the level of organisational management, we have set out the following lines of action:
a strategic view of environmental issues in the company;
communicating the need to care for the environment internally within MEXEM, as well as promoting good practice with the company's closer and further afield;
an audit of the company's environmental performance to date.
In this respect, we have taken the following actions:
management training;
signing of contracts containing environmental clauses;
developing models of good environmental practice in the conduct of business;
regular collection of feedback in the form of reports.
